On our Completion Snagging Survey, we will check everything from the heating to paintwork. The check lasts on average 4 hours depending upon the size of your property.
Around 18 months after completion we revisit the property to check for any new issues that have occurred (due to settlement or otherwise) that is deemed out of tolerance. This is raised in a new snag report for you to issue to the builder to give them time to address it before the end of the 24 month warranty.
Depending what time of year you complete, we will carry out a thermographic heat loss survey inside and out [on houses only] on either the first or follow up re-inspection. Our inspectors hold a Building Thermography qualification so are able to identify issues ranging from missing insulation to draughts. We also use a borescope to spot check any areas which provides concrete evidence of any shortfalls.
