PRE-COMPLETION INSPECTIONA Pre-Completion Inspection (PCI) follows a specific checklist designed by the NHQB (New Homes Quality Board) to provide homeowners yet to move in with a list specifying if areas of the property have met its standards or not.

BORESCOPE CAVITY CHECKWe use specialist equipment and process to enable us to check the cavity wall insulation. We only do this on traditionally built houses (not apartments, timber framed houses, rendered or clad) as it involves drilling a 10mm hole through the outer wall mortar joint (made good afterward) and checking the cavity in several areas around the house using a borescope camera. |
WINDOW MEASUREMENTSWhen booking you will have the opportunity to for us to carry out measurements of the window openings with a laser measure. This is particularly useful for when we are going in to snag your property pre-completion or some customers appreciate this service when they have just moved in to avoid the cumbersome task of trying to measure using a normal tape measure, |
THERMAL HEAT LOSS SURVEYWe are the only new build snagging company that are qualified in building thermography (although many try to offer the service). Due to the conditions required to do it properly, we only carry out heat loss checks between November - March. We can either do it as a stand-alone inspection or alongside a snagging survey for a discounted rate. |
12-18 MONTH ESSENTIALS SURVEYThis survey is ideally conducted 12-18 months after completion (before the 2 year warranty ends with your builder) but we are able to attend before or after for peace of mind. In comparison to a snagging survey, this is a condensed survey that focuses only on the important issues with NHBC or Building Regulations. |
REFURB SURVEYAs our surveyors are experts identifying poor workmanship, we often carry out surveys on houses that have been refurbished by builders, not just those built from scratch by large volume developers. In this survey we will raise snags based on current standards set by the NHBC and Building Regulations. |
DRONE ROOF SURVEYAs surveyors, we are able to help identify issues with roofs and use a high-end drone to provide high-quality videos and photographs.
