As your property goes through the settlement period over approx. 12 months, different issues may arise which is why we offer a re-inspection. The process also allows us to ensure that the more important issues raised in the first visit have been rectified properly. The main focus of this 2nd follow up survey however is to ensure that any serious issues are raised in time before the builder's warranty period ends. Most customers that choose this re-inspection survey experienced serious issues in our initial snagging survey such as cavity wall insulation voids or structural issues that you will not be able to check yourself. Often builders will not rectify such work to the required standard which is why a re-inspection can be vital.
A re-inspection takes less time for us to conduct which is why it costs -£100 less than the initial snagging survey. A fresh report will be issued within 48 hours of the inspection.
