Once your initial snagging survey has been carried out, we can re-visit to carry out a de-snag to ensure that the issues raised have been rectified correctly alongside issues that have developed since the first visit: As your property goes through the settlement period over approx. 12 months, such issues will include the appearance of cracks (internally and externally), nail pops, misaligning doors, creaking in floorboards (and more). This second follow up survey is important to ensure that such new issues are raised in time before the builder's warranty period ends. Most customers that choose this re-inspection survey experienced serious issues in our initial snagging survey such as cavity wall insulation voids or structural issues that you will not be able to check yourself. Often builders will not rectify such work to the required standard which is why a re-inspection can be vital.
A re-inspection takes less time for us to conduct which is why it costs -£100 less than the initial snagging survey. A fresh report will be issued within 48 hours of the inspection.
